About African Hunting Holidays

African Hunting Holidays was established by me, Casper van Rensburg, after it occurred to me that the internet could be more of a hindrance than a help in finding exactly what you are looking for when searching for a hunting or fishing destination in Africa, as there are just too many options available!

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born in the Free State province of South Africa, one of the best wing shooting areas in the country. At a very young age I was introduced to hunting/conservation and fishing. At the age of five I shot my first antelope and at the age of seven started hunting on game farms with my parents where I shot my first impala. Needless to say, hunting and fishing was part of my upbringing and is a huge passion of mine even now whilst I am based in the UK with my wife Kate and son Casper and is the reason why I established African Hunting Holidays.

From here in the UK, I realised that there are just so many choices on the market and it would be really difficult for someone unfamiliar with travelling to Africa to tell who are the most reputable and experienced professional outfitters. That is where African Hunting Holidays fit in. We only represent a select number of outfitters that we trust and have hunted with ourselves ensuring that we provide you with accurate, first-hand information.

At African Hunting Holidays, you tell us what you expect and we make sure we find the best package for you. The price we quote is the same price the outfitters would charge if you booked directly with them. We do not levy any fees to our clients as our income is generated on a commission basis as agreed with the outfitters, therefore there are no hidden costs.

We strive to provide you with an exceptional experience with the added personal touch. We prefer to treat our customers like family and pride ourselves that all our customers that have been hunting with us have either booked their next hunt or are in the final stages of planning their next one. We take care of all your arrangements, from helping you import your rifle to Africa, and if you wish to use one of ours that is available free of charge, to delivering your taxidermy work at your doorstep! Yes we take care of it all, at no extra cost!
