During the last five to ten years Zimbabwe has been known for all the wrong reasons. Given the fact that this was once some of the prime hunting destinations in Africa we are pleased to report that those days are not gone at all!
In the South-East of Zimbabwe you will find the Gonarezhou reserve. The name originate form the Shona language and mean "Abode of the Elephants". With the Gonarezhou covering more than 5 000 sq km's it is hardly surprising to know that some of the best trophies are occupying this area. Making this more mouth watering is the fact that this reserve border onto the Kruger National Park of South Africa. With Zimbabwe having Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa and Zambia as neighbours is boasts with an estimate of 100 000 Elephants.
With no fences and an area allocated of around 180 000 acres, that is part of this great park you will experience the real Africa and your hunt for that trophy of a lifetime is about to become a reality. With 4 of the "Big 5" available here this is a hunters paradise. Plains game is abundant and Buffalo herds graze away in big numbers underneath Mopanie trees. This is an absolute must for any hunter that wish to persue a trophy on African soil.
