Lesotho - Trout and Smallmouth Yellowfish
"The mountain kingdom" of Africa must be one of the most well-kept secrets when it comes to fishing for Trout and Smallmouth Yellowfish in unspoiled surroundings. With fishing done at very high altitude and dinner served under a starlit African sky you will have to go a long way in order to beat this destination! Very highly recommended by us.
The warm waters of Angola attract some exotic monsters. With Tarpon weighing in between 150 and 230lbs it comes as no surprise that anglers rate this fish as one of the most exciting game fish to be caught on the fly. With Vundu, Chessa and a few Bream species in abundance in the Cahorra Bassa it is ultimately the world known Tigerfish we are after. With Tigers weighing in up to 25lbs it make this destination every anglers dream. Add in some game drives at night and you have a trip to cherish for years to come.
Inhaca Island - staying in Mozambique is the small semi-tropical indian ocean island called Inhaca. This little gem make our shortlist because of the world class fly fishing you will find here. With species like King/Queen Macarel, Yellowfin Tuna, Cobia, Kawakawa, five types of Kingfish, Mirrorfish, Barracuda, Dorado and Sailfish on offer anglers are spoilt for choice.
Probably the best flats fishing in the world on the Amirantes bank where you will find the islands of Poivre and St Joseph. Anglers are spoilt for choice with Bonefish, Permit, Giant Trevally, Tuna, Dorado etc available.
